Alex and Bobby kick off the Slow Offseason Pod with a reminiscence on the life and legacy of Trenton Thunder bat dog Home Run Derby, then discuss some recent signs of life on the lukewarm stove, including whether we should give the Astros the World Series trophy now and if the Mets actually have a plan for this year. They deliver a scouting report on Rafael Palmeiro’s batting practice video, and give 50 Cent his due as he attempts to make his own comeback to the mound. They round things out with a look ahead to 2018 and make predictions on what the worst takes will be this year — because there’s sure to be no shortage.
