A Championship Now and Every Year in the Future

With the 2018 baseball season officially over, Bobby and Alex take a look back at the World Series and discuss their main takeaways. They talk about new Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen — if only to say his name many, many times — and what the hiring says about the state of the franchise. Then, because the misery of one team wasn’t enough, they each randomly adopt a new team to follow in the coming year to get out of their “coastal” “elite” “bubbles” and find some new and interesting storylines. Finally, they revisit their all-GIF teams from the beginning of the year to see how their players fared, and review their hot take predictions for the season.
